We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Food Service Worker/ barista to join our team.
As a food service/barista you will be responsible for providing excellent service to our customers, preparing and serving food, making espresso and tea drinks, handling cash transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve food and drink items according to established recipes and portion sizes - Ensure food is stored and handled safely in accordance with food safety guidelines - Operate cash register and handle cash transactions accurately - Provide friendly and efficient customer service, addressing customer inquiries and resolving any issues - Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining area, cafe, kitchen, and serving stations - Follow proper sanitation procedures to ensure a clean and safe working environment - Assist with inventory management, restocking supplies as needed - Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation of the food service area
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a food service, coffee service and customer service role is preferred - Knowledge of retail math, basic math skills, and cash handling procedures - Familiarity with food safety regulations and practices with a food handlers permit and mast certification are a must - Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail - Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members - Experience with Square POS system is a plus - Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques is desirable
